Trampolining Lesson Plans KS3 includes:

  • To understand and be able to demonstrate good body tension  and posture in various movements.
  • Students should be able to perform the correct technique when bouncing and performing seat drops, twists, turns,  and  movements in air (tuck, pike and straddle).
  • By the end of the scheme students should be able to link each of the movements learned during the scheme into a 10 bounce routine which includes half and full turns.
  • Students should be able to observe and appreciate the work of others and offer informed and positive feedback to performing individuals.
  • Students should also understand the importance of raising heart rate at the start of the session and be able to demonstrate stretches appropriate to trampolining.
  • To perform a technically correct pike, straddle and tuck jumps, seat drops, seat drops with twists, and swivel hips. They should understand clearly the concept of centre of gravity and its effects on their performances.
  • Students have been given the opportunity to incorporate these into sequences and show evidence of basic compositional principles such as variations in speed, level, height and direction.
  • Students are also able to perform, refine and adapt these skills into a 10 bounce routine.
  • Students have judged work against a given criteria and suggested ways of improving the performances of others. Students were also involved in leading warm ups and stretching exercises
  • To be able to perform increasingly advanced techniques such as seat drops, swivel hips, front drops, half twists to front drop, and front drop to seat drop.
  • Students should understand the concept of centre of gravity and its effects.
  • Students should be able to incorporate these skills into sequences and routines, showing evidence of basic compositional principles such as variations in speed, level and direction.
  • The students are to be constantly asked and tested on their knowledge and  understanding of how to develop speed, height, power and precision; evaluate performances; analyse strengths and weaknesses; whilst developing, adapting and refining skills, strategies and compositional ideas to produce high levels of performances, high quality techniques and routines.
